Arre is the brainchild of Founder, Sam Gabbay. Frustrated with the fragmented support for interconnected smart home devices and seeking greater control and simplicity, Sam envisioned Arre as a manufacturer of a new generation of smart home products.
Arre integrates Matter’s ecosystem, supported by the likes of Siemens, LG, Samsung, Apple, and Google, with the aim of unifying various smart home platforms under one seamless, flexible, and intuitive control system.
Users often face the challenge of managing multiple devices from different ecosystems, leading to a fragmented and cumbersome experience. Arre recognised a significant opportunity to create a cohesive app that would bridge these gaps, offering a unified control interface for all smart home devices, regardless of their brand or platform.
The smart home market is set to reach $154.4B in revenue in 2024, with big brands dominating the space. Startups can focus on developing platforms or solutions that enhance interoperability, making it easier for consumers to integrate devices from different manufacturers seamlessly. Solutions compliant with standards like Matter can be particularly attractive.
We were tasked with creating a scalable design system and app experience that helps customers seamlessly connect and sync their products to a central platform.

Putting together the building blocks for the user experience.
As part of the comprehensive design and UX overhaul for Arre, one of the critical deliverables was the creation of detailed user flows. A user flow is a visual representation of the steps a user takes to achieve a specific goal within an app. It maps out the user's path from the entry point through various interactions to the final destination, ensuring a seamless and intuitive experience.
Laying the foundation for Arre’s intuitive interface.
The wireframe design for Arre was a critical step in crafting a user-friendly and cohesive smart home app. Wireframes serve as the blueprint for the app's structure and layout, providing a clear visual guide for the placement of elements and the overall flow of the user experience.

A super-sleek visual identity, scalable design system and seamless user experience.
Arre successfully developed a modular smart home app that enhances household user control and energy efficiency. The app integrates with various smart devices and ecosystems, including Apple Home and SmartThings, using Matter and Thread protocols. This seamless integration allows users to manage a wide range of home appliances, from lights and thermostats to security systems, all through a single interface.
Additionally, it offers customisation options for automation, helping homeowners save time and reduce energy consumption. Its positive impact on daily routines demonstrates the app’s success, contributing to increased convenience and sustainability.
